The 5 Jobs of a Leader
- 8:00 am - 9:00 am
Leadership is often viewed as a collection of skills, but the most effective leaders consistently excel at a handful of fundamental responsibilities. In this week's 808 Club session, members explored The 5 Jobs of a Leader — a practical framework for creating stronger teams, greater accountability, and a culture where people can consistently perform at their best.
Rather than focusing on personality or management style, the discussion centered on the daily habits and responsibilities that separate effective leaders from overwhelmed managers. Members were challenged to evaluate their own leadership through five essential lenses: providing clarity, creating consistency, developing people, positioning others for success, and modelling the standard they expect from their teams.
The session reinforced that leadership is not about having all the answers. It's about creating an environment where people understand the mission, trust their leader, and have the confidence and support to succeed.
